About me
My name is Rachel Harries, and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and Clinical Massage Practitioner.
My obsession with dogs began at an early age, and I cannot imagine my life without dogs in it. I was very fortunate to have been raised on a farm, and have always lived with many dogs, as well as various other animals.
I am a Registered Veterinary nurse, and have been in practice for over 17 years. In 2017, I enrolled on the 2-year Clinical Massage Practitioner Programme with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre, where I learnt advanced anatomy and physiology, advanced palpation techniques, body mapping, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage as well as Myofascial release. I treat all types of dogs, with all sorts of conditions, helping to rehabilitate soft tissue problems, as well as supporting orthopaedic conditions such as Arthritis and hip dysplasia. Your dog does not need to be diagnosed with a problem in order to benefit from Clinical Massage – I also help to maintain good muscular health in pets and sporting dogs with no known muscular or skeletal issues.
Being a Veterinary Nurse means I have experience of many disease processes, surgical repairs, and neurological issues. I have several years of first-hand experience of all kinds of dogs, including those who are anxious, nervous, and reactive. You can rest assured that your dog will be in safe hands.
I am a member of the Canine Massage Guild, a network of highly skilled professional Canine Massage therapists specialising in the rehabilitation of dogs.
My Clinical Massage clinics are run from Chaseview Vets in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire. Please call me on 01989 562251 to make an appointment, or to discuss if clinical massage is suitable for your dog.
