Frequently asked questions - workshop
How much does it cost?
£140, payable in advance. Please book through the website where possible.
Do I bring my own dog?
You will need to bring your own dog, and it is best that it is one who knows and trusts you.
How do I know if my dog is suitable for this workshop?
You are responsible for providing your own canine companion. Whilst we know that some dogs can be very excitable or anxious, please consider if your dog will settle and not disrupt other participants. We want everyone to enjoy the workshop and cannot allow behaviour which restricts others enjoyment and ability to learn from their day. If you would like to discuss your dog’s suitability with me further, please email me.
All dogs must be kept on a lead and under control throughout the day.
Where are the workshops held?
Please check the shop for listings and dates.
If you are a member of a sporting or professional group and have a suitable venue, and would like to arrange a workshop then please email me to discuss it. I am happy to travel, but please note that there will be a minimum number of atendees required.
What time do workshops start and finish?
Workshops will run from 9:30am – 4:30pm. Registration is anytime between 9am and 9:30am. Please arrive with enough time to organise yourself and settle your dog.
What will I need to bring along?
Your dog!
A flat, comfortable bed for your dog to lie on.
Water bowl
Food or treats for your dog if need be.
Collar and lead
Poo bags
Pen
Cushion for helping to make you comfortable.
What should I wear?
You should ideally wear stretchy, comfortable clothing as we will be working lots from the floor (unless otherwise arranged). We will be mostly working with our shoes off. Be sure to bring some warm layers too.
What facilities are there for lunch?
Please bring your own lunch. The kitchen is well equipped and has a microwave available for use.
I will provide tea, coffee, and biscuits for the breaks.
I have reduced mobility or a disability. Is this workshop suitable for me?
We will mostly be working from the floor. It remains your responsibility to ensure that you notify me of any additional needs you may have in advance, so that adjustments may be made where possible.
If you would like to discuss your disability further, please email me.
Does this one-day workshop qualify me to work on other people's dogs?
NO! The workshop teaches you how to perform massage on your own dog only.
Does this workshop count as CPD?
Please check with your association if the workshop qualifies for CPD. I am happy to provide a certificate of attendance for CPD requirement.
